I have to say I am addicted to lights, especially ones I can hang outside or decorate with. That being said I was extremely impressed with these SLZ ETL Approved Outdoor String Lights. I opened the box and the first thing I noticed was that they send 12 extra bulbs. I have never received extra bulbs before with a purchase so 12, a whole dozen, half the amount that is needed for the string of lights, made this an even better purchase. Even better is the fact that I can use LED bulbs with this string of lights if I desire to.
Next comes the cord that holds the lights. I pulled it out of the box and figured out exactly why the box was so heavy. This is not your average every day cord. This wire is 14 gauge, thick wire. It is perfect for hanging outside as it will withstand the elements. It has a 3 pronged ground outlet which is much better for using outside. The cord is 48 feet long with 24 light sockets placed roughly 2 feet apart. This cord is long enough to cover most decks and wrap around them. It is waterproof and weatherproof so it is even better for use outdoors.
This string light set will add ambiance to your patio or yard. We put it on our back deck because that is where we do parties and it is close to the pool. I don't have to worry about the kids tearing it up because it is such a heavy duty light set. My dad saw it and said that is the type of string lights they use on his job for emergency lighting and they pay more money for theirs. He said this is an awesome deal for what it cost. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone, for use on jobs or at home. I received this at a discount in exchange of my honest, unbiased opinion.
