There isn't much worse than being stranded with a dead battery. Nowadays it is hard to actually find someone willing to help or that has jumper cables. It is able to charge vehicles without another vehicle. You do need to make sure to keep it charged so that if you need it, it is ready. This charger is not very heavy or so large that it takes up much room. It comes in a very nice carrying bag which makes it even more convenient. I like that I can keep all the parts together in one place and put it in the trunk ready to go. The charger comes with a plug to use to charge it in the house or the car. The charger and both power cords are stored in the bag in pockets.
This charger isn't just a battery charger though. It can be used to charge cellphones, tablets, certain computers and other electronics that require a usb to charge it. It comes with a laptop connecting cable, 8 laptop and cell phone adapter connectors and a cellphone connecting cable. These all store easily in the carrying case also. The laptop connectors are stored with an elastic holder in the carrying case. The cell phone adapters are stored in a small bag that is held in with an elastic holder. It is nice to be able to keep them all together so I don't have to search for them when I need them.
The charger also has lights, it has a flashlight and blue and red strobe lights. If you find yourself in need of help those would be handy. It also allows you to choose the voltage that you need, 12, 16 or 19. It has an on/off switch which helps preserve the internal battery. The charger has a nice rubber cover which feels like silicone. It also comes with an instruction manual which is always great.
This charger is a definite plus to have. I have been in spots where it was near impossible to get another vehicle close enough to mine to charge the battery. Now I can just pull this out if I have a dead battery. I would recommend that everyone have a good charger and this is a great one. It has the extra bells and whistles also. It would come in very handy if you lose power so you could charge your phone without having to go to your vehicle. I wish I had this when we had our icestorm last year.
