I am on a quest for health, for me, my dad, my brother and my children. I kept hearing about how great coconut oil was so I wanted to try it. Well, I sure am glad I did. This oil by BioFinest is a great oil. It does not turn into a solid, which surprised me honestly. It is in a thin plastic container, which is bpa free, so even that is better than most other products. This oil did not have a bad smell to it, I didn't really smell anything. It didn't have a bad taste either, I had to try the taste of it too. I like that it wasn't overly greasy so if I decided to use it on my skin or hair I wouldn't be an oily mess.
I know there are many uses for coconut oil. I had a friend tell me one time that she started taking coconut oil every day. She didn't change anything she ate and she started losing weight. I am trying that also. I take a teaspoon a day right now. I have also heard that due to the 63% medium chain triglycerides it can help lower cholesterol, so I am cooking with it to help my dad. This oil doesn't add or detract any flavor to the foods I have made with it which means I can sneak it in if I have to. LOL. It can replace butter and other oils in baking and cooking.
I have a love for essential oils now and like to mix them with carrier oils. This coconut oil is even great for that. I can mix it with other carrier oils or just use it alone with the essential oils. I usually mix up a few drops with the oil and rub on our feet which has really softened our feet. My hands have gotten softer too since I started using this.
I believe this oil is one of nature's best products for healthy living. There are so many uses that I could go on and on. I do love the size of this jar too because it means I won't run out quite so quick. My dad works out of town and has told me I need to purchase some for him to take with him.
